    Clutch questions

I rode my bike to work today for the first time. Cool

On the way home there was some traffic on the A45 as usual, but I noticed that my clutch is either engaged or not engaged (that’s the only way I can describe it).  Traffic riding was a mare as it was either fast pulloffs or stallsIndifferent

Is this normal or should it be like a car’s clutch where you find the biting point and ease out the clutch to get a smooth get away?

    Re: Clutch questions

How far do you have to let the lever out to find the biting point?

    Triples are the future, baby!

About half way, as soon as i've found the biting point i move the lever about 1mm and it's no longer engaged

    Re: Clutch questions

You should be able to slip the clutch in a similar way to a car clutch but the biting point is more obvious when you are using your hand rather than your foot. It maybe it just needs a bit of adjustment.

    Yes

    Re: Clutch questions

rolling it away from you should give you the adjustment you want.  Just do a little at a time.  It's easy to screw it up.
